January 2018 TBR

Hey guys.
So today I am posting about my TBR for January. I am hoping to get through a tonne of books this year. But my main goal is to get through the books that have been high up on Goodreads list, since Day 1. Hahaha.

Currently Reading

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

My original goal was to have this completed before the end of the year. In the end I had less than 30 pages to go. As the last day of the year was a busy day I didn’t get much of a chance to read until the kids went to bed. And usually I am a fast reader and should have had it done,  but I kept falling asleep. Haha.

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende

I have literally just started this book, up to Chapter 2, and really really enjoying. I am hoping that they do a remake of this movie so that my book loving kids can watch it, as they do not like the old movie at all. And so far I have seen so many characters that can now be introduced in the movie due to the visual effects. Looking forward to if they go through with it.

The Messenger by Markus Zusak

I absolutely loved The Book Thief by this Author. This is book #1 in my book clubs Around the World in Books Challenge. We are only reading short books from each country, so this one will be the longest of them all.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I am almost finished with this book, a bit over 200 pages to go I think, so I am excited to see what happens, although I have already seen Season 1 of the show so I sorta know what happens. But would love to see if it ends differently.

The list of other books that I am hoping to get through.

Physical TBR

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (I will be classing each book in this series as a separate book on my GoodReads, rather than just one whole book together.)

This book has been on my TBR since I started out on Good Reads, so I am very keen to get it off there.

Lone Wolf by Jodi Piccoult

I love Jodi’s novels, and recently have just bought a whole new batch of them, and again this has been on my TBR since Day ONE on Good Reads.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

I have already read this but that was ages ago, and I knew I really enjoyed it, so I want to dive back into this world and go through it again, and again since I have started Good Reads it has been on the top of my TBR pile.

Net Galley Reads

I Am Behind You by John Ajvide Lindqvis

So I have seen the movie Let Me In, and loved it, even though I have been told that the Swedish version is better. And that the book is even better, but I haven’t read it yet. But this sounds super interesting and like it is right up my alley.

Night Shelter by Gil Hogg

So I didn’t realise that this was book 9 in a Series, but I am stoked to read this. I requested this from Net Galley and cannot wait to dive into this Mystery, Thriller novel.

Disturbed by Jennifer Jaynes

This book sounds so amazing and disturbing. 😀 Lets hope it lives up to it’s title. I requested this from Net Galley and cannot wait to read it.

So I have a large variety of books that I hope to get through in the month of January, and also a lot of different genres to choose from. I believe that I can get through them all easily enough. That is if I have the time. I have a child starting school in a few weeks, so need to prep for that, as well as set alarms so that I can get used to going to bed earlier, and then getting up earlier.

What are you reading in the month of January? Have you read any of the above? If so tell me what you thought of them, but no spoilers please
